theIndonesian – Former presidential and vice presidential candidates Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD have their own goals after the 2024 presidential election.
Ganjar Pranowo admitted that he would not join the incumbent government but he would remain in a political party.
“I am a member of a political party, so I will not stop doing political activities,” Ganjar told at Central Jakarta, Monday (6/5).
In contrast to Ganjar, former Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam), Mahfud MD admitted that he would remain in politics, but on a different path, namely civil society.
This refers to his involvement and contribution as civil society in the political process, including groups such as non-profit organizations, advocacy groups, and individuals working to influence government policies and actions.
“I am still struggling, politics is very broad, some through political parties, some through political movements. Now, political movements can be carried out in parties, like Mas Ganjar, for example, there are political movements outside parties, civil society is a political movement, but not paprol, mass organizations are political movements, you press is a political movement, because you want to move state policy,” Mahfud explained.
On this occasion, Ganjar expressed his gratitude for the loyalty of the volunteers and members of TPN Ganjar-Mahfud who had struggled in the 2024 Presidential Election.
“My greetings to friends and by saying thank God, we close all TPN activities and some people will still continue,” concluded Ganjar.
