theIndonesian – Special Staff III of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Arya Sinulingga stated that the consolidation of SOE PT Waskita Karya with PT Hutama Karya (HK) will be completed by September 2024.
“Hopefully, in September, everything can be done. Hopefully it’s done, it’s legally valid,” he said at the inauguration of the Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) gallery and vending machine at HK Tower, Jakarta, Tuesday.
In the consolidation, Waskita Karya will become a subsidiary of HK. Later, each SOE is said to have a specialization so that there will be no more tender fights.
“The target is simple, they will not fight over tenders anymore, (but) HK and Waskita have specializations. Others also have their own specialties, so inter-SOEs will not compete in tenders anymore, not slamming prices anymore,” said Arya.
He also hopes that each SOE can help Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Because whatever his ideals are, he continued, MSMEs are the backbone of the Indonesian economy, so Arya wants MSMEs to be more developed and better.
“So mutual support, creating a good mechanism between BUMN and MSMEs is also the goal of Mr. Erick (Minister of BUMN) for all of us,” he said.
HK Deputy President Director Aloysius Kiik Ro expressed readiness to consolidate with Waskita Karya. “HK will synergize, integrate with Waskita Karya. We are ready in accordance with the policy,” said Aloysius.
